Aeritae Consulting Group has created a focus group consisting of technical managers and practitioners interested in learning more from their peers regarding actual vendor experiences in implementing & using third party performance and troubleshooting tools.
The idea is to share real world experiences in a vendor free zone, comparing experiences, results and difficulties when using enterprise performance tools & solutions versus advertised claims, vendor “marketecture” & “brochure ware.”
These informal meetings are meant to prompt valuable exchanges, healthy debates, help identify best in class tools. Topics will be published monthly in advance. We fully expect attendance & participation to vary by topic. If decided by the group, vendor(s) may be invited to present/demonstrate a specific solution and defend their claims to the group.
We encourage process and technique discussions by members of our group as well, relating practical operations experiences. We hope that participants are willing to openly share their experiences, helping others cut through the hype and confusion by citing actual experiences with installation time, amount of customization required, administrative overhead (or not), system/network load, reporting capability, etc. for various enterprise and free ware performance tools. Aeritae’s role is to simply initiate each gathering, facilitate topics voted on by the group, schedule future meeting locations, and provide nutrition and beverages for these forums.
We invite you to participate in our next meeting!
